To all who like the great outdoors & excellent service while trekking, LombokExplorer is the one to choose. The impeccable service & capable porters/guides will lead you to "the top of the world" experience. Provisions are never an issue with them. Food is tastefully done with no hassle by the trekkers themselves. I'm glad that we chose this operator. And will want to go again to capture the beauty of the mountain. GOOD JOB AM & GANG!!!

Mt Rinjani,a place where I should keep in my mind till my last day in the world.The scenary was awesome. The trail was thrilling. Everything goes great with AM n team. They are superb person; porters and guides. Was amazing with their stamina and fitness. Carrying food to be cook for us and other logistic. I should say climbing Mt Rinjani is like climbing a 5* mountain. Anybody out there shoud try and explore this climb, then you should understand what is 5* mountain.
Do look out or Lombok Explorer,if you will to climb d Rinjani..a memorable climbing with out any preparation by me..hehe..

“Am” is the name that immediately comes to mind when I remember/talk about our fantastic Rinjani trip – it is the name of our guide. Without him, I could not imagine that I could finish our 4D/3N trekking program. The beauty of Rinjani becomes more beautiful as Am always sings, jokes and tells stories along the way, distracting us from feeling tired. Not only is he a good guide, Am is also a good photographer.
Am was not alone, his great team of porters (who also happens to be cooks etc.) were excellent. Every time we reached a destination, the tents were ready, welcome drinks (hot chocolate, hot tea and coffee) were waiting for us. The food tasted delicious, was decorated nicely, and more importantly was always freshly cooked too. After dinner, Am gave us funny tricks, always successfully tricked us.
Camping facilities were excellent, we could sleep soundly every single night in the tent.
Our journey did not end after the Rinjani Trekking Program, we still had several days left for exploring Lombok. From the top of the mountain to the bottom of the sea at Gili Trawangan Island, visiting Sasak village (learning about their culture) etc., all were taken care of by Am as a guide.
Am, my family and I really enjoyed our fabulous stay in Lombok (July 26 – August 1, 2008).
Thanks Am, also to Pak Ogi, Pak Titi and other porters, Anto and Pak Ram.

Am Mustaal and his team took total care of our 7 days Lombok family holiday (25 July - 1 August 2008), and the whole experience completely exceeded our expectations! The family consists of my wife and I, and our 3 children of 20, 17, and 15.
The highlight was the 4 days/ 3 nights Rinjani trek: Fantastic scenery, challenging walk up the 3726m peak at sunrise, 5 star food & accommodation. But what has made this a truly memorable experience was really Am and his team: professional expert guide with vast field experience; very customer focused mindset; creative & flexible in adjusting the program on the fly to suit our needs and condition, personal attention to each one of us; a very trustworthy, responsive, and cordial crew of porters (who also serve as cooks, servers, cleaners); Am happens to be a great photographer and video cameraman as well!
Under Am’s leadership, the team consistently lives up to the expectations of ecotourism and conservation – they consciously clean up all non biodegradable garbage.
As this was our first trip to Lombok, Am also took care of the rest of the holiday which include a hike and swim at the Tiu Kelep waterfall, great snorkeling and diving with sea turtles at Gili Trawangan island, and experiencing the Sasak culture and cuisines. Am took care of everything – hotels, transport, meals, guide – no hassles, so we can really focus on enjoying ourselves!
